Rishabh Pant declared ‘fully fit’
Pant has been declared fully fit and will join the Delhi Capitals camp for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
The latest update from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is great news for all Rishabh Pant fans! After undergoing rehabilitation for 14 months, Pant has been declared fully fit and will join the Delhi Capitals camp for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
However, the BCCI has also announced that the IPL will be without the services of pace bowlers Mohammed Shami and Prasidh Krishna this season. While this may disappoint their fans, we must remember that their health and safety are of utmost importance.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has declared that the wicketkeeper of Delhi Capitals, Rishabh Pant, is fit to play in the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024. The BCCI medical team has confirmed that Rishabh Pant has fully recovered and can now bat and keep wickets. The IPL is set to start on March 22 and fans can look forward to seeing Rishabh Pant back on the field.
Pant was involved in a severe car accident in December 2022, which caused him to be absent from cricketing activities. However, the wicket-keeper batsman resumed playing cricket a few months ago. He underwent rigorous training at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru (NCA) to improve his fitness and make himself available for the Indian Premier League (IPL).
As for Prasidh and Shami, the pace duo's absence from the IPL 2024 season could deliver a big blow to their chances of representing the Indian team in the T20 World Cup that takes place right after the conclusion of the T20 league.
