Bollywood's Silence On Sikandar: Salman Khan Reacts
Hindi film industry has remained largely silent about Sikandar. Reacting to this, Salman said, “Unko aisa lagta hoga ki zaroorat nahin padti mujhe. But, sabko zaroorat padti hai.'

Despite Sikandar receiving harsh criticism from both audiences and critics, Salman Khan’s star power remains undeniable. The film, which opened to mixed reviews, has defied expectations by collecting over Rs 85 crore in just three days and is on its way to becoming Salman’s 18th Rs 100-crore film.
Amid the buzz, a viral clip of Salman’s recent interview has reignited conversations about Bollywood’s selective support. During the interview with Bollywood Bubble, the host pointed out how the Hindi film industry has remained largely silent about Sikandar, even though Salman frequently promotes films of his colleagues and friends.
Reacting to this, Salman said, “Unko aisa lagta hoga ki zaroorat nahin padti mujhe. (Maybe they think that I don’t need their support.)" However, he quickly added, “But, sabko zaroorat padti hai. (Everybody needs support, including me.)"
Salman then shifted focus to upcoming and recent releases, showing his continued support for his peers. He gave a shoutout to Sunny Deol’s upcoming mass-action film Jaat, set to release on April 10, 2025. He also mentioned the Malayalam blockbuster L2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran, which hit screens just two days before Sikandar and is already setting records.
Interestingly, among Bollywood stars, only Sunny Deol publicly promoted Sikandar, posting a social media shoutout for Salman’s film. Meanwhile, Aamir Khan did participate in a promotional video alongside Salman and director AR Murugadoss, but the general lack of industry-wide support has not gone unnoticed.
