Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Diwali with Indian Navy personnel on Monday. On the occasion, the officials also presented a song on Operation Sindoor.

Sharing the video, PM Modi wrote on X, “Will always cherish the cultural program on board INS Vikrant last evening. The naval personnel are truly creative and versatile. They penned a song, ‘Kasam Sindoor Ki,’ which will remain etched in my memory."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Diwali this year in the company of Indian Navy personnel aboard INS Vikrant, India’s first indigenously built aircraft carrier. Calling it a “towering symbol of Aatmanirbhar Bharat," he described the ship as a testament to India’s innovation, determination, and growing self-reliance in defence manufacturing.

The Prime Minister arrived off the Goa coast on Sunday evening and spent the night interacting closely with officers and sailors. On the flight deck, surrounded by MiG-29K fighter jets, he witnessed both daytime and nighttime take-offs and landings on the carrier’s short runway—an experience he reportedly found deeply inspiring.

India launched Operation Sindoor on 7 May 2025 in response to the Pahalgam attack, targeting nine sites across Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir that were identified as terror infrastructure hubs.
