BookMyShow removes content of Kunal Kamra, delists him
BookMyShow has removed comedian Kunal Kamra from the history list of artists. The online ticketing platform has also removed all the content about him from the website.

Days after stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra came under fire for his “traitor" remark on Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, BookMyShow has removed him from the history list of artists. The online ticketing platform has also removed all the content about him from the website.
Reacting to the same, Yuva Shiv Sena General Secretary (Shinde faction) Rahool N Kanal expressed his gratitude to BookMyShow. In a letter addressed to the CEO, Kanal wrote, “I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support to take the said artist out of your sale and promotion listing, thank you for even taking him out of the book my show search history, Your belief in maintaining peace and at the same time respecting our emotions has been instrumental."
On Tuesday, Mumbai Police issued a third summons to Kamra in connection with an FIR for defamation and remarks amounting to public mischief. The Mumbai Police also visited his house on Monday in a bid to find out if the comedian would appear before them.
Following the controversy, Kamra, a resident of Tamil Nadu, returned to his home state after receiving at least 500 death threats over the phone. He then approached the Madras High Court and successfully secured interim protection against arrest by the Mumbai Police.
