Boy donates his savings to Indian Army

An 8-year-old boy-Sai Dhanvish from Tamil Nadu’s Karur district donated all his savings to the Indian Army.

A Class 2 student, Dhanvish visited the Karur District Collector’s office with his parents and handed over a yellow, water tank-shaped collection box filled with his savings. The money had been collected from relatives over the year.

Dhanvish said he wanted to support the Indian Army. “I always help those in need,” he told officials, recalling how he had earlier donated to victims of the Wayanad landslide and regularly distributed food and clothes to the elderly at temples.

Born to Satish Kumar and Pavitra, who run a fish shop in Velliyanai, Dhanvish has a younger brother, Jitesh, aged 4. Every year on his birthday, June 29, Dhanvish marks the day by distributing food to those in need.

His gesture comes after India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 against Pakistani terror infrastructure across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack.
