Case against Infosys Co-Founder Kris Gopalakrishnan, 17 others Under SC/ST Act
A case was registered against Infosys co-founder Senapathy Kris Gopalakrishnan, former Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Director Balaram, and 16 others under the Prevention of SC-ST Atrocities Act.

A case was registered against Infosys co-founder Senapathy Kris Gopalakrishnan, former Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Director Balaram, and 16 others under the Prevention of SC-ST Atrocities Act. The case was registered at the Sadashiva Nagar police station, Bangluru, based on the directions of the 71st city civil and session court (CCH).
The complainant, Durgappa, a former IISc professor, who belongs to the tribal Bovi community, alleged he was unfairly targeted in a honey trap case in 2014, leading to his dismissal. Durgappa, who was a faculty member at the Centre for Sustainable Technology at the IISc, also claimed he faced casteist abuse and threats.
There was no response from the IISc faculty or from Gopalakrishnan, who also serves as a member of the IISc Board of Trustees. Other individuals accused in the case include Govindan Rangarajan, Sridhar Warrier, Sandhya Vishwswaraih, Hari KVS, Dasappa, Balaram P, Hemalata Mhishi, Chattopadhyay K, Pradeep D Sawkar and Manoharan.
