Man Who Flashed At Jaipur Model Arrested

A 32-year-old man, who flashed at a Jaipur model in Haryana’s Gurugram on August 2, has been arrested. His name is Abhilash Kumar. The model influencer Soni Singh had filmed the man flashing at her, and the viral video showed him allegedly masturbating in front of her in a busy intersection at Gurugram’s Rajiv Chowk.

In the video, posted on August 5, Soni Singh mentioned that the incident happened while she was waiting for a cab at Rajiv Chowk on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway.

The accused, Abhilash Kumar, holds an M.Tech degree and works as an assistant manager at a private firm. He was identified and arrested after the police scanned CCTV footage in the area.

During questioning, the accused said he is married, has a son, and lives in a rented accommodation in Sector 11 of Gurugram. He is a native of Haryana’s Karnal, it was known. 

According to the police, Kumar said he was returning home from a parents-teachers meeting at his son’s school, when he stopped at the busy intersection and committed the act.

As the model influencer shared the video on social media, the police registered a complaint under Sections 75 (2) (sexual harassment), 78 (stalking) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), at the Civil Lines Police Station. The accused will be produced before a court on Wednesday for further proceedings.

Soni Singh earlier claimed that despite sharing the video on X and tagging police and women’s welfare bodies, no action was taken.
