Nagpur violence: Chhava ignited anger against Aurangzeb-Fadnavis
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said 'Chhava', a new Hindi movie about the war between Chhatrapati Shivaji's son, Sambhaji, and Aurangzeb's Mughal forces, had "ignited people's anger".

A political slugfest erupted over the Nagpur clashes that left over 30 people injured as Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the violence was planned, and the Opposition alleged failure on the government's part.
A curfew has been imposed in several areas of Nagpur after violence broke out on Monday evening over a call to move the tomb of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb out of Maharashtra. Over 60 rioters were taken into custody, and about 30 vehicles were set on fire after a massive clash between two groups in the Mahal area of the city.
Speaking in the Assembly on Nagpur violence, Fadnavis said, "In Nagpur, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal held protests. Rumours were spread that things containing religious content were burnt...It looks like a well-planned attack. No one has permission to take law and order into their hands."
Fadnavis and his deputy, Eknath Shinde, claimed a "premeditated conspiracy... to target specific houses and establishments" and said 'Chhava', a new Hindi movie about the war between Chhatrapati Shivaji's son, Sambhaji, and Aurangzeb's Mughal forces, had "ignited people's anger".
Meanwhile, tight security is now in place outside Aurangzeb's tomb, which is protected under the law.
