Former India cricketer and head coach Rahul Dravid got into an heated argument with a Bengaluru auto driver after a minor collision there. Dravid, usually known for having a calm demeanour on the cricket field, was seen engaging in a serious conversation on Cunningham Road near the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium with an autorickshaw driver.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Dravid could be seen being annoyed due to the collision as he vents out his frustration while talking to the auto driver. Fortunately, none of the parties got injured during the collision and no major damage could be seen on the vehicle.
According to media reports, the accident took place on Cunningham Road, a busy area in Bengaluru. Sources stated Dravid was travelling from Indian Express Junction towards High Grounds when the incident occurred. The auto driver allegedly rammed into his car from behind while it was stuck in traffic. Sources said Dravid took down the auto driver's contact number before leaving the scene.
Seeing Dravid in his angry avatar, fans recalled a famous advertisement featuring the legendary cricketer, which hilariously showed him as ‘an angry young man’ calling himself ‘Indiranagar ka Gunda (Indiranagar’s gangster). In the advertisement released in 2021, Dravid was seen getting involved in heated arguments with the people on the road while being struck in a traffic jam.
As soon as his recent video went viral, fans flooded social media with ‘Indiranagar ka Gunda’ memes, giving the incident a hilarious take.
Dravid ended his tenure as head coach of the Indian Cricket Team after their T20 World Cup 2024 triumph. Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma and Dravid, team India ended their 11-year-long drought of an ICC trophy by beating South Africa by seven runs in the final and clinching the trophy.
