‘Rising Rajasthan’: Efforts On To Make Event Impactful
Chief Secretary Shri Sudhansh Pant conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024.

Chief Secretary Shri Sudhansh Pant conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 at the government secretariat which is scheduled for 9th, 10th and 11th December 2024 in the capital Jaipur. The high-level meeting focused on assessing the readiness of new and upcoming policies which are to be launched, key infrastructure, logistical arrangements, and investment opportunities to ensure a successful and impactful event.
Sudhansh Pant said, “Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 is the priority decided by the Chief Minister and making it successful is the responsibility of all the departments. Several new and next-generation investor-friendly policies are in the offing.” Therefore, all the concerned departmental secretaries and heads are requested to finalise them at the earliest, he said.
Pant asked the departments to examine and expand the list of feasible investable projects in prominent sectors such as renewables, energy generation, education, mining, infrastructure quickly and shared the learnings during his recent visits to Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh to understand their models of seeking investments in these two states.
Updating about the progress made for this Global Investment Summit, Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary, Department of Industries, said, “Government of Rajasthan will hold a series of roadshows across leading business cities in the country and the world to highlight the investment potential of the state on a global stage. This commences from Mumbai where the first roadshow will be organised on August 30, 2024.”
The ‘Rising Rajasthan’ - the 3-day mega summit aims to attract and facilitate global investment, innovation, and associations into the state. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced the dates of ‘Rising Rajasthan’ and unveiled its logo on August 01, 2024. He also launched a single-point investor interface for easier submissions of the MoUs by investors who are seeking to make investments in Rajasthan through a simple form. Within 2 weeks of the launch of this platform, investment proposals worth Rs 5.21 Lakh Crore have already been received by the Bureau of Investment Promotion (BIP) – the nodal department for organising the investment summit.
The investment summit is organised with the support of the Industry and Commerce Department, BIP and RIICO. Through the summit, the Rajasthan government is aiming to bring investments to focus sectors such as agriculture, Renewable, Education and Skilling, Auto and EV, Infrastructure, Chemical and Petro-chemical, Tourism, Startups, Mining ESDM/IT and ITeS, Textiles and Apparels and others.
Akhil Arora, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Department of Finance, Aparna Arora, ACS, Department of Forest and Environment, Alok, ACS, Department of Energy, Shubhra Singh, ACS, Deparment of Medical and Health, Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary Department of Industries and departmental heads and secretaries of other concerned departments were present during the review meeting.
