Sandeep Vanga slammed the actor for 'dirty PR games'
Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga did not name Deepika Padukone, he accused her of playing ‘dirty PR games’ and revealing some parts of his film’s story.
Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who is currently working on Prabhas's 'Spirit', made a cryptic post slamming the 'dirty PR work of an actor'. In a strongly worded post, he accused the unnamed actor of putting down a younger co-star and 'ousting' his story.
On Monday night, the filmmaker took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and dropped a cryptic post. Even though Vanga did not name Deepika Padukone, he accused her of playing ‘dirty PR games’ and revealing some parts of his film’s story.
“When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this, You’ve ‘DISCLOSED’ the person that you are…Putting down a Younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for? As a filmmaker, I put years of hard work behind my craft & for me, filmmaking is everything. You didn’t get it. You won’t get it. You will never get it," Vanga wrote.
“Aisa karo…. Agli baar poori kahani bolna… kyunki mujhe jarra bhi farak nahi padtha. #dirtyPRgames. I like this kahawath very much ???? खुंदक में बिल्ली खंबा नोचे !" he added.
A few days ago, it was reported that Sandeep Reddy Vanga had removed Deepika Padukone from Spirit. Reports suggest that her demands, including eight-hour workdays, a high salary, and a share in the film’s profits, did not sit well with director Vanga. Deepika, a new mother, is reportedly seeking to balance her work and personal life by reducing her working hours. This decision led to her departure from the film, which would have been her second collaboration with Prabhas after their recent project, Kalki 2898 AD.
Following Deepika’s exit, Triptii Dimri was confirmed to play a part in the film. The actress confirmed her role as the female lead in ‘Spirit’ on Saturday through a post on social media. She posted a picture of the title poster with her name in various Indian and international languages. Expressing her gratitude, she wrote, “Still sinking in… So grateful to be trusted with this journey. Thank you @sandeepreddy.vanga… Honoured to be a part of your vision."
