TV Actress Molested By Drunk Co-Star At Holi Party

A television actor has lodged a complaint against her co-star for alleged harassment during a Holi celebration in Mumbai’s Jogeshwari, officials said on Sunday. The incident occurred at a Holi party organised by the actress’s company, where the accused actor allegedly applied colour on her forcefully despite her repeated objections.

The 29-year-old actress, who has worked in multiple TV serials and is currently associated with an entertainment channel, recounted the ordeal to the police.

In her statement to the police, she stated, “He was trying to put colours on me and other women at the party. I did not want to play Holi with him, so I objected and moved away." According to the actress’s complaint, she actively avoided the accused. “I went and hid myself behind the panipuri stall at the terrace but he came after me and tried to put colour on me. I covered my face, but he forcefully grabbed me and put colour on my cheeks and then told me, ‘I love you and will see who saves you from me’. After this, he touched me inappropriately and put colour on me. I pushed him away. I was mentally shocked and went straight to the washroom," the actress shared.

Later, she informed her friends about the ordeal. The 29-year-old actress's friends confronted the accused, but the situation escalated into a physical altercation. Following this, the actress, accompanied by her friends, went to the nearest police station and filed a complaint against the co-actor.

The police have registered a case under Section 75(1)(i) of the BNS and have issued a notice to the accused, summoning him for questioning. Further investigation is underway.
