A woman and her friends allegedly capturing and burning a wild cat alive after it crossed their path in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad.

A case has been filed against a woman and her friends for allegedly capturing and burning a wild cat alive after it crossed their path in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad. They also made a video while burning the cat.
The incident took place in the Bhojpur police station area. SP Dehat Kunwar Akash Singh said that Delhi’s Wildlife Crime Control Bureau received an email complaint along with a video, prompting action. “An FIR has been registered in the case, and the video cannot be shared yet as the investigation is ongoing,” he said.
According to the FIR, the woman and her friends recorded a video of setting the wild cat on fire. The bike they were riding was traced through its registration number to a woman named Priya from Bhojpur. The accused have been booked under Sections 9, 39, and 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. If convicted, they may face up to three years in jail and a fine of Rs 1 lakh.
