Congress, BJP workers get into street-fight in Patna

A clash between BJP and Congress workers broke out in Patna today after members of the ruling party at the Centre stormed the Congress office, protesting against abusive remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during Rahul Gandhi's Voter Adhikar Yatra.
Both parties accused each other of instigating the clash. BJP workers said that they were holding a peaceful protest in front of the Congress office in Patna before people allegedly started pelting stones. On the other hand, the Congress accused BJP workers of throwing stones from outside.
In the videos, several BJP workers were seen kicking at the gates of the Congress office in Patna before barging inside. In another video, members of both parties were seen beating each other with party flags outside the Congress office in Patna. BJP workers were demanding an unconditional apology from Congress over the alleged abuse directed at PM Modi during a Rahul Gandhi rally.
Meanwhile, Darbhanga Police have arrested Mohammad Rizvi alias Raja, who allegedly made objectionable remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his mother. The Congress has distanced itself from the incident. Leader Rashid Alvi said that the party does not approve of such language and condemned the act.
Rahul Gandhi reacts
Rahul Gandhi has responded sharply after Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party workers clashed in Patna. In a short post in Hindi on X, the Congress MP said, "Truth and non-violence will prevail... untruth and violence cannot stand before them. Beat and break (us) as much as you want... but we will continue to protect the truth and the Constitution. Satyameva Jayate (the truth will always win)."
