India's First Hyperloop Test Track Is Ready, Delhi to Jaipur in 30 minutes

IIT Madras with support from the Ministry of Railways, has developed a 422-meter-long, India's first hyperloop test track. With this, 350 km can be covered in just 30 minutes. This means you can travel from Delhi to Jaipur, roughly 300 km, in less than half an hour once it becomes a reality.

The project has garnered support from prominent industry players, including Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction, ArcelorMittal, and Hindalco Industries, who have contributed to the construction and development of the test track.

Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted this achievement on X, posting about it. Looking ahead, there are ambitious plans to extend this technology to create a hyperloop corridor between Chennai and Bengaluru, potentially covering the 350 km distance in just 15 minutes.

The successful implementation of hyperloop technology could revolutionise India's transportation infrastructure, offering ultra-fast, efficient, and sustainable travel options. This advancement not only promises to enhance connectivity between major urban centres but also positions India at the forefront of innovative transportation solutions on the global stage.
