PM Modi's Surprise Visit To Adampur Airbase

Days after Operation Sindoor was carried out, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a surprise visit to Punjab's Adampur airbase on Tuesday, where he was briefed on the security situation and also interacted with the jawans. The development came days after India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire.
One of the images stood out from the rest. It showed PM Modi waving at the jawans, with a MiG-29 jet and an intact S-400 air defence system clearly visible in the background.
The messaging was two-fold. It not only debunked Pakistan's claim that missiles from its JF-17 fighter destroyed the S-400 air defence system in Adampur, but was also a signal that the government was firmly behind its armed forces.
Adampur was among the air force stations that were on Pakistan’s target on the intervening night of May 9 and 10, following India’s “Operation Sindoor".
PM Modi's visit to Adampur came a day after he sent a strong message to Pakistan, asserting that India had just paused its offensive on terror camps and its military sites.
