Rahul Gandhi's 'memory loss' jibe at PM Modi, BJP hits back

A major political showdown has erupted over Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's 'memory loss' jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During a poll rally in Maharashtra on Saturday, the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha likened PM Modi to the outgoing US President Joe Biden, who has often been called for his verbal gaffes, saying that they both are suffering from memory loss.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut hit back at Rahul Gandhi, saying the Congress leader needs help and reminders during his speeches, not PM Modi. She said that Rahul Gandhi should mind his language when speaking about the Prime Minister.

Addressing a rally in Amravati, Rahul Gandhi recalled an incident where Biden, 81, had mistakenly introduced Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as Russian President Vladimir Putin at an event. "My sister told me that she had heard Modi Ji's speech. And in that speech, whatever we say, Modi Ji is saying the same thing these days. I don't know. Maybe he has lost his memory. The outgoing President of America used to forget and he had to be reminded from behind. Similarly, our Prime Minister is losing his memory," he said.

Rahul asserted that Modi, 74, had been saying in his speeches that the Congress was attacking the Constitution. "For the past one year, I have been saying that the BJP has been attacking the Constitution in my speeches. But, PM Modi is saying that Congress is attacking the Constitution. He came to know that people were getting angry, and he is now saying that I am attacking the Constitution," he said.

"I told him in Lok Sabha that Congress and the INDIA bloc will abolish the 50 percent reservation cap. I told him that you have lost your memory, but still he is saying that Rahul Gandhi is against reservation," the 54-year-old Congress MP said.

"I told Modi Ji to do a caste census. The country should know how many Dalits, Adivasis, and OBCs are there. In the next meeting, he will say I am against the caste census," he further said. These are the things, that prove that our Prime Minister And US President Biden are suffering from the same problem-memory loss, he concludes.
