Allahbadia trolled again, now for 'Pakistani Brothers And Sisters' post
Ranveer Allahbadia —popularly known as BeerBiceps — is once again in the spotlight, facing criticism and online trolling. This time, over a post directed at the people of Pakistan.
After the recent India’s Got Latent controversy, YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia —popularly known as BeerBiceps — is once again in the spotlight, facing criticism and online trolling. This time, it’s over a post directed at the people of Pakistan.
Allahbadia made an Instagram post addressing 'dear Pakistani brothers and sisters', but deleted it later after facing a backlash from social media users. His post came amid India's Operation Sindoor against terrorist centres in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Allahbadia began his post by admitting that he could invite another controversy by making that post. A part of his post read, "I will get hate from many Indians for this, but it's important to be said. Just like many Indians, I don't have hate in my heart for you. Many of us want peace as well. Whenever we meet Pakistanis, you invariably welcome us with love."
In the post, Ranveer had written, “Dear Pakistani Brothers & Sisters, I will get hate from many Indians for this, but it is important to be said. Just like many Indians, I don’t have hate in my heart for you. Many of us want peace as well. Whenever we meet Pakistanis, you invariably welcome us with love."
He went on to add, “But…your country is not run by a government. It is run by your military and your secret service (The ISI). The average Pakistani is VERY different than these 2 bodies. The average Pakistani has dreams of peace & prosperity in their hearts. These 2 villains have hurt your economy since independence. They have also constantly been responsible for terrorist attacks in India. Proofs in the next slide…"
On a parting note, he wrote, “Ek final cheez… This is not: Indian People vs Pakistani People. This is: India vs Pakistani Military & ISI. Hope peace prevails in the long term, Inshallah."
Though the message appeared to be an attempt at promoting peace, it didn’t sit well with many on social media. Users quickly began calling him out, accusing him of being tone-deaf and questioning the timing and intent behind the message. The backlash was swift enough that the post was taken down shortly after it was shared.
One social media user wrote, "'Dil se sorry lag raha hai ki Indians nafrat phaila rahe hain' That's what Ranveer Allahbadia said in his support of Pakistan. The nation was right in bullying this piece of trash (sic)." Another user said, "Shameful. Ranveer Allahbadia aka Beer Biceps openly supports Pakistanis — then quietly deletes his posts after backlash. This is what happens when we blindly support the wrong influencers and make them viral."
One social media user called this 'hypocrisy'. "This is insulting to our brave armed forces. And on your part, it is Hypocrisy at its peak. Shame on you!."
