Actor Saif Ali Khan was discharged from Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday after receiving treatment for six days. The actor was admitted on January 16 following a harrowing incident where he was stabbed during a burglary attempt at his residence in the early hours of the morning.
Even though the doctors have allowed Khan to go back home, the actor has been advised to rest for the next few days. The actor's family members, including his mother Sharmila Tagore, and actor-wife Kareena Kapoor Khan, among others, were present at the hospital. A visual of the actor leaving the hospital premises in a black Porsche was shared.
In several pictures, the actor, dressed in a crisp white shirt and blue denim, can be seen arriving at his Mumbai residence, with a bandage on his arm.
Last week, Saif Ali Khan was brutally attacked at his Bandra residence, Satguru Sharan, where an intruder stabbed him approximately six times. He was rushed to the hospital at 2:30 am and underwent two surgeries to address his injuries. Lilavati Hospital later revealed a picture of the 3-inch-long fragment of a sharp object used in the assault.
Mumbai Police arrested the assailant, 30-year-old Bangladeshi resident Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, in Thane city on Sunday. Shehzad was presented before a metropolitan magistrate’s court the same afternoon and remanded to five days in police custody.
