IndiGo Hit By Massive System Slowdown

Operations of IndiGo Airlines were affected on Saturday due to a massive technical glitch, leading to longer delays and disruptions at various airports.

"We are currently experiencing a temporary system slowdown across our network, affecting our website and booking system. As a result, customers may face increased wait times, including slower check-ins and longer queues at the airport," the airline said in a statement.

The booking system has been affected since 12 noon. Operations were briefly resumed at 1:05 pm, however, the system continued to be down. The company added that their team is working to address the situation, assist everyone and ensure a smooth journey. "Be assured, we are working diligently to restore stability and normalcy as quickly as possible," IndiGo added.

The tech glitch has made it difficult for passengers to board or book tickets and they are stranded at the airports. Several passengers have taken to social media platform X to share their plight, urging the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to take note.
