‘Krishna’ Nitish files police complaint against ex-wife

Actor Nitish Bharadwaj, who played the role of Lord Krishna in the TV show 'Mahabharata', has filed a police complaint against his ex-wife, Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS Smita Bharadwaj. In his complaint, the actor mentioned that Smita has been mentally harassing him for a long time.

Nitish Bharadwaj wrote a letter to Bhopal Police Commissioner, Hari Narayanachari Mishra, seeking help from him. The actor also said that his ex-wife does not allow him to meet his twin daughters even. Confirming the report, Bhopal Police Commissioner Mishra said, "We have received a complaint from Nitish Bharadwaj. We are investigating the matter and trying to find out the facts. The responsibility of the investigation has been handed over to Additional DCP Shalini Dixit.’’

Nitish Bharadwaj played the role of Lord Krishna in the popular TV show 'Mahabharata'. He became a household name for playing the character of Lord Krishna. He married Smita, an IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, on March 14, 2009. They reportedly met through mutual friends. The couple shares twin daughters, who are now 11 years old.

After 12 years of marriage, Nitish and Smita parted ways in 2019, while their divorce was finalised in 2022. Smita is said to be residing in Indore with their daughters following their separation.
