Salman Khan’s House Firing Accused Arrested in Gujarat

Two accused involved in the firing incident at Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence were arrested by the Mumbai crime branch in Gujarat's Bhuj on early Tuesday morning, police said.

The accused were identified as Vicky Gupta, 24, and Sagar Kumar Palak, 21, from Masihi in the West Champaran district of Bihar. Deputy Inspector General of Kutch-West, Mahendra Bagadiya, confirmed that Gupta and Palak have confessed to their involvement in the firing incident. The duo were hired by Anmol Bishnoi's gang and were also paid some amount of money for the crime, police sources said.

After opening fire at the Bollywood star’s Mumbai home, the accused abandoned their bike near a church in Mumbai, walked some distance, and then took an autorickshaw to Bandra railway station. They then boarded a train to Santacruz station and hired another auto-rickshaw to continue their journey. They fled to Surat and then, according to police sources, travelled via public transport to Ahmedabad.The accused even changed their clothes while fleeing.

Police sources also stated that police suspect the firearm used in the attack was not a locally made pistol. The weapon was later thrown into a water body, sources added. Police are yet to recover the weapon.

The accused had fired four rounds outside the Galaxy Apartments in Bandra at around 5 am on Sunday. Police had said that Salman Khan was present at his house when the firing occurred. No one was injured or died in the incident.

Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, had claimed responsibility for the incident in a social media post.
