'No Trains Cancelled': Railway Official
Indian Railways have said that train operations to and from Prayagraj have not been stopped. Additionally, the officials said empty railway rakes were being sent to bring back devotees from Prayagraj.

Hours after stampede at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, officials with the Indian Railways have said that train operations to and from Prayagraj have not been stopped. Additionally, the officials said empty railway rakes were being sent to bring back devotees from Prayagraj.
Commenting on the situation, Dileep Kumar, Executive Director, Information and Publicity, Railway Board, said, “We have not halted any train operations, there are no cancellations. Since there are a lot of devotees in Prayagraj, we are sending our empty rakes to clear the rush. Clearing the station area is our priority as of now."
“We have planned to move nearly 360 trains from Prayagraj today, to clear the rush," he said.
