Actor Triptii Dimri has claimed the top spot on IMDb's list of the most popular Indian stars of 2024, surpassing some of the biggest names in the industry, including Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt and others. This remarkable achievement is a testament to Dimri's growing popularity.

The Bad Newz actress is over the moon and has called it a huge honour. Triptii’s rumoured boyfriend, businessman Sam Merchant is extremely proud of the actress, and has reacted to the exciting news!. On Thursday morning, Sam Merchant took to his Instagram story to share the news of Triptii Dimri emerging as the No. 1 Indian Star of 2024. He lauded the actress and expressed that he couldn’t be prouder of her. He wrote, “Making us proud," along with several evil eyes, clapping, and sunglasses emoji. 

Triptii Dimri appeared in three movies this year, Bad Newz, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. While Tripti topped the list of Most Popular Indian Stars of 2024, Deepika Padukone ranked second, according to IMDb. This was followed by Ishaan Khatter at the third spot, and Shah Rukh Khan and Sobhita Dhulipala at the fourth and fifth spots respectively. The top 10 list also included Sharvari, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Alia Bhatt, and Prabhas.

Speaking about the same, Triptii Dimri said that it is a huge honour to be ranked number 1 on the IMDb Most Popular Indian Stars of 2024 list and that it has been a memorable year for her. “I’m looking forward to what’s next as I continue to be part of this inspiring industry," she said.

Triptii and Sam Merchant are rumoured to be dating for quite some time now. As per reports, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 actress began dating Sam after her rumoured breakup with Karnesh Sharma, Anushka Sharma’s brother, in December 2022.
