Jain Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj, takes "Samadhi"

Today, 18th Feb 2024, is the difficult day for the jain community across the world. Shri 108 Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj, the present day saint of the society, who is called Vardhaman, has left his body after taking samadhi and fasting for 3 days. He left his body at around 2:35 pm on Saturday night. Before leaving his body, he had observed unbroken silence. As soon as the news of his demise came to light, people of Jain community started gathering.

The prime minister said that he has had the honour of receiving blessings from Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj for years. "I can never forget my visit to the Chandragiri Jain Mandir in Dongargarh, Chhattisgarh late last year. That time, I had spent time with Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj Ji and also received his blessings.”

State Chief CM Vishnu Dev Sai has expressed grief over the news of Sant Vidyasagar Maharaj's Samadhi through social media. CM said that the news of the worldly revered and national saint Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Mahamuniraj ji's samadhi was received in Chandragiri Teerth located in Dongargarh.
