Janhvi Kapoor confirms relationship with Shikhar

Actor Janhvi Kapoor attended the screening of her father, Boney Kapoor's film 'Maidaan' on Tuesday, April 9. Her presence at the screening grabbed attention as she walked in wearing a necklace which had 'Shiku' written on it. Janhvi addresses her boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya as 'Shiku'. This is the first time that Janhvi has publicly accepted her relationship with Shikhar.

At the screening of 'Maidaan' in Mumbai, Janhvi looked stunning in an all-white pant-suit. She left her hair loose and wore matching heels. But what caught the attention of Janhvi's fans was her customised necklace. As a shared video of Janhvi from the screening, a fan commented, "Her necklace ??? Is that shiku??" Another added, "The name on the necklace."

Last year, during an episode of Karan Johar's chat show, 'Koffee With Karan', Janhvi addressed Shikhar Paharaiya as 'Shiku'. When Karan asked her about the names of three people who are on her speed dial, Janhvi promptly said, "Papa, Khushu and Shiku." However, immediately after saying it, Janhvi realised that she had unintentionally taken Shikhar's name.

Shikhar often expresses his love for Janhvi on social media. He wished her birthday in March with a picture of them together in front of the Eiffel Tower. However, Janhvi skipped posting a birthday wish for him on April 3.

Though Janhvi has publicly accepted her relationship with Shikhar now, her father Boney Kapoor confirmed it in a recent interview with a news portal. He said, "I love him (Shikhar) and in fact, in between, a couple of years back Janhvi was not seeing him but I was still friendly to him. I was convinced he could never be an ex. He’ll be around. When any person is there for you in any capacity whether it’s for me, whether it’s for Janhvi, whether it’s for Arjun, he is friendly to all. So I feel we’re blessed to have somebody like him in our set up."
