Man who fired at Salman Khan's house is wanted Haryana gangster

One of the two shooters seen on CCTV footage firing shots outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's house in Mumbai early on Sunday is a wanted gangster from Haryana's Gurugram, police sources said. The gangster, Vishal Rahul, is a shooter of gangster Rohit Godara, who is associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Hours after the firing outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments house, Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the incident in a social media post, and said it was only a "trailer".

Vishal, who studied till Class 10, belongs to Gurugram and was involved in multiple killings and robberies in Haryana. He has over five criminal cases registered against him in Gurugram and Delhi.

A Delhi Police Special Cell team went to search Vishal's house in Gurugram on Monday. Following the firing outside Salman Khan's house, police from five states - Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab - have initiated a coordinated effort to apprehend those involved.

Meanwhile, Police disclosed that the scheme originated in the United States, where Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, entrusted the task of selecting shooters to Rohit Godara, another gangster also based in the US. This decision was likely influenced by Godara's extensive network of professional shooters spanning several states in India.

Godara holds a key position in the Bishnoi gang due to his involvement in previous high-profile cases, including the Raju Theth and the Gogamedi murder cases in Rajasthan. The Bishnoi gang maintains a ready supply of weapons strategically stored in various locations across multiple states, police said. It is suspected that Godara facilitated the provision of weapons to the shooters through his associates in India.
