CESC acquire 300 MW solar park in rajasthan

Indian power utility CESC Ltd has acquired Bhadla Three SKP Green Ventures to develop a 300 MW solar park in Rajasthan's Phalodi district. The acquisition aims to strengthen CESC's renewable energy portfolio and promote sustainable power generation. Bhadla Three SKP Green Ventures is already implementing the project and has obtained approvals for interstate evacuation of solar power.

Although the target company has not generated revenue yet, the acquisition will allow CESC to capitalize on the project's progress and accelerate renewable energy capacity deployment. The acquisition is part of CESC's strategic focus on renewable energy generation, aligning with India's goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based electricity capacity by 2030.

As India continues to prioritize clean energy transition, CESC's move to strengthen its solar power presence in Rajasthan positions the company well to contribute to the nation's renewable energy targets.`
