Six Children Died As School Bus Overturns In Haryana

Six children died and dozens more were injured after a school bus overturned near a village in Haryana's Narnaul on Thursday morning. The school was functioning despite a holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr, officials said.
The bus was carrying around 40 children and was on its way to the school. The accident took place near Unhani village in the district.
The bus which belonged to GL Public School overturned near Unhani village of Kanina. The District Education Officer said that after initial investigation it appears that the driver of the bus was drunk and rammed the vehicle into a tree.
An eyewitness also said the driver was probably under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. On the other hand, the police said an investigation into the cause of the accident was on.
Official documents show that the bus' fitness certificate had expired six years ago in 2018.
