TV star Dolly Sohi dies of cancer, hours after sister's death

Actor Dolly Sohi died earlier this morning, March 8, after a battle with cervical cancer. She was 48. Her sister Amandeep Sohi, also an actor, died on Thursday, March 7, after being diagnosed with jaundice. Dolly was keeping unwell for a month.

Her brother, Manpreet ‘Mannu’ Sohi said, The actor, who was diagnosed with cervical cancer around six months ago, was undergoing treatment for the disease. She passed away around 4.00 am at Apollo Hospital. Her cancer had spread to her lungs. He shared that the family is devastated losing the sisters in a matter of few hours.

Her family also issued a statement informing about the actor’s death that read, “Our beloved Dolly has left for her heavenly abode today early morning. We are in a state of shock with the loss. Will share further details.”

Some of Dolly's notable performances include TV shows such as Kkusum, Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, Kumkum Bhagya, and Parineetii.
